How to Create a Course

A course is a group of units. 

This article walks you through creating a course that can later be added to a training event.

Before You Start

Before creating a course:

• Make sure you understand the Training Content Structure

• Review the Training Module Onboarding Checklist if you’re setting up training for the first time

Creating a Course

1. From the Simulations Labs Dashboard, click Courses in the sidebar.

2. Click Create Course.

You will be redirected to the course creation page.

3. On the Create New Course page, fill in the following details:

   • Name – Internal name for the unit.

   • Sort Order – Determines the order in which units appear within a course.

   • Units– Select the units you want to include in this course. 

   • Thumbnail Image – Optional image to visually identify the course.

   • Cover Photo – Optional image for the course page.

   • Description – Optional summary of what the course covers.

4. Save the course.

What Happens Next

Once your course is created, you can deliver it to your audience through training events.
