How to Create a Lesson

Lessons are the foundation of training content in Simulations Labs.
Each lesson contains learning content and can include challenges or labs for hands-on practice.

This article walks you through creating a lesson that can later be added to units and courses.


Before You Start

Before creating a lesson:

Lessons are created before units, courses, and training events.


Step 1: Access the Lessons Section

  1. From the Simulations Labs Admin Dashboard, click Learn in the sidebar.

  2. Select Lessons.


Step 2: Create a New Lesson

  1. Click Create New Lesson.

  2. You will be redirected to the lesson creation page.


Step 3: Configure Lesson Details

Fill in the lesson’s basic information:

  • Lesson Title
    The name learners will see.

  • Lesson Description
    A short summary of what the lesson covers.

  • Thumbnail Image (optional)
    Used to visually identify the lesson.


Step 4: Add Lesson Content

Add the educational content for the lesson. This may include:

  • Explanations or walkthroughs

  • Instructions for learners

  • Supporting materials or references

This content prepares learners for the practical activities in the lesson.


Step 5: Add Challenges or Labs

You can enhance the lesson by adding:

  • Challenges

  • Labs or simulations

These components allow learners to apply what they’ve learned in a hands-on environment.

Step 6: Save and Review the Lesson

  • Save the lesson once all required information is added.

  • Review the lesson to ensure the content and challenges are correct.
